Electrostatic Fluidized Bed Powder Coating
Electrostatic Fluidized Bed Powder Coating. For most coating requirements powder is sprayed and charged electrostatically through spray guns onto the work piece. The heat activates the particles, causing them to fuse into a continuous coating.
A fluidized bed is made up of a powder container and an air receiver that are separated by a porous fluidizing bottom. This method results in an even distribution and provides a protective layer of coating, but does require a greater. The heat of the powder melts the powder onto the parts which then becomes the coating.
