Powder Coat Vs Plasti Dip

Powder Coat Vs Plasti Dip. I can't decide which would be better. Powdercoat without a doubt is the stronger and longer lasting of the two.

The powder is then applied to workpieces to form a protective finish using an electrostatic gun. Plenty of people have plastidipped, as well as powder coat. Powder coating would be about $700 for all 5 wheels and no clue where or how to do bedliner because i would prefer to go the professional route vs rattle can.

They Probably Get F'ed Up When Getting New Tires With Plasti Dip.

How durable is the plastidip? I think they turned out fine. So that's really up to you.

Powder Coating Will Be The Most Expensive But Also The Most Long Term.

The powder coat is way more durable than paint, and as mentioned can be reversed any time. Once it's done it's pretty permanent unless you hit something or get a huge scratch on it. I have a 2017 stx and have been wanting black wheels since i bought it.

When You Want To Get Rid Of The Plasti Dip, It Is Easier To Remove Than Powder Coat And Paint.

I found a set of stock 17s and was thinking of powder coating them black to go on my black '14 sport. Plasti dip or powder coat my stock rims? Even if people talk bad about it, plasti dip costs way less than spray painting or powder coating your wheels and that’s why it’s so popular.

Powder Coating Is, Essentially, Permanent.

Powder coat is definitely the way to go if you are not worried about money (this actually changes the color). If you are painting anything big (wheels, engine parts etc) go with powder coat. For $340 i can get all my stock rims powder coated matte black or save money and just do the plasti dip, but does that plasti dip last as long as i am hoping on the wheels?

Hands Down, Plasti Dip Is The Ideal Wheel Coating And Painting Solution For Its Price.

There's always gonna be the heavy hitters that can afford $50+ per wheel for powder coat on wheels that get curbed, 200+ per wheel for custom paint, and $14k for full paint jobs (cough cough jake and alex lol). Dip is cheap, takes an afternoon to do, lasts a good long while and can always redo it. Let’s move on to enrich the knowledge on the same.
